Sher Maker is a small team of architects and makers who design and build the work through local methodology of architecture in specific context. Founded by Patcharada Inplang, Thongchai Chansamak, 2018 in Chiangmai, Thailand.
They focus to learn from deliberately first-hand experience in daily life as tool for emergence of self-realization wisdom.
With a strong intention in define architecture though the process and meaning behind local architectural methodology. With respect in anthropology related architecture and influence from vernacular ecological knowledge in Northern of Thailand, our project is developed through deeply collective of local resource which depend on the context of building technology and economic possibility. A strong studio culture as workshop and material research is a main tool in design process which allow them to explore more domestic resource and folk building technique.
They believe, the method of formative architecture language will show out by the suitable method of design that deep considerate all those factors behind.
Sher Makerはタイのチェンマイにて、Patcharada Inplang氏とThongchai Chansamak氏によって2018年設立。彼らは建築家と職人から構成される小さなチームで、伝統的な建築手法を用い設計・施工を行う。
日常生活における直接的な経験を意図的にとらえ、自らを実現する探求のためのツールとして機能させることに重点を置いている。
彼らのプロジェクトは、その土地特有の建築手法の背後にあるプロセスと意味を通して建築を定義するという強い意志のもと、タイ北部の伝統的建築と生態学的知識から影響を受けるとともに、技術的及び経済的可能性の文脈に焦点を当て、地域社会との深い連携を通じて展開される。ワークショップや素材のリサーチを重視し、デザインプロセスにおける主要なツールとして機能させる彼らの手法は、多くの地域資源や伝統的な建築技術の探求を可能とする。彼らは背景にある全ての要因を反映する適切なデザイン手法により建築的な言語が形成されることを信じ、実践している。

AMATA LUPHAIBOON | Principal Architect
アマタ ルファイブーン
Amata received a Bachelor of Architecture with first-class honors and a Gold Medal from Chulalongkorn University. He pursued advanced studies abroad and received two Master’s degrees from the University of Washington and Harvard University. After graduation, he joined Metric Co., Ltd. and work as a chief architect for several years. In 2004 Amata together with Twitee founded their firm ‘Department of ARCHITECTURE Co., Ltd.’ Amata is currently a principal of the firm.
アマタ・ルファイブーンはチュラロンコーン大学で建築学士号を最優秀の成績で取得し、金メダルを受賞。海外で高度な研究を追求し、ワシントン大学とハーバード大学で修士号を取得。卒業後メトリック株式会社に入社し、数年間チーフアーキテクトとして勤務。2004年、トゥイティーと共に「Department of ARCHITECTURE Co., Ltd.」を設立。現在、同社の代表を務める。
TWITEE VAJRABHAYA TEPARKUM | Principal Architect
トゥイーティー ヴァジュラバヤ テパルクム
Twitee received a Bachelor of Architecture summa cum laude from Virginia Tech and earned a Master of Architecture from Princeton University. She has been working in Chicago and New York for some time before coming back to Thailand to join Metric Co., Ltd. She together with Amata founded their firm ‘Department of ARCHITECTURE Co., Ltd.’ Twitee is currently a principal of the firm.
トゥイーティー・ヴァジュラバヤ・テパルクムはバージニア工科大学で建築学士号を最優秀の成績で取得し、プリンストン大学で建築学修士号を取得。シカゴとニューヨークでの勤務を経て、タイに戻りメトリック株式会社に入社。アマタと共に「Department of ARCHITECTURE Co., Ltd.」を設立し、代表を務める。
